Schererville Baseball League,
We wanted to take a minute and review some changes that we will be implementing on Monday, July 27th. As most of you know, the Governor of Indiana will be using his power to issue an Executive Order that will require face covering until further notice. The Executive Board Members consulted with the Lake County Health Department, Department of Health for the State of Indiana, and the CDC on what these requirements meant for Schererville Baseball League. The Board held a virtual Managers/Coaches meeting Friday night to allow questions to be answered and suggestions to be given. We have spoken with several additional baseball leagues around NWI, and most if not all will be following these same guidelines. Please remember that keeping our children, their fans, and our staff safe and healthy is our number one priority. Below is a new requirement that has been added to our COVID-19 Guidelines for 2020.
- Face Coverings are required at Schererville Baseball Complex. Masks are to be worn by all parties, including children 8 and older, until further notice. Exception: Players, Coaches, and Umpires are not required to wear masks while on the field of play.
Please remember, if you feel sick, stay at home. Once the game has ended please do your part to leave the field and allow the next team to occupy in a timely fashion. We also encourage allowing plenty of social distancing at the entrance of each dugout. Several managers have identified this area as a "bottleneck" when trying to get everyone to leave.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your team manager or an Executive Board Member.
Thanks again for keeping our community and visitors safe!
